AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE HUDSON RIVER VALLEY GREENWAY’S COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM TO COMPLETE A NATURAL RESOURCE INVENTORY OF ALBANY COUNTY

By Conservation, Sustainability, and Green Initiatives Committee:
WHEREAS, The Office of the County Executive and the Department of Economic Development, Conservation, and Planning have requested authorization for the submission of a grant application to the Hudson River Valley Greenway’s Community Grants Program to complete a natural resource inventory of Albany County, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that the funding, if awarded, will be used to complete a County-wide inventory of all natural resources including parks, trails, lakes, etc., which will be helpful information when developing sustainability and conservation initiatives, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application to the Hudson River Valley Greenway’s Community Grants Program to complete a natural resource inventory of Albany County, and, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said grant application as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
