AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 132 AND 133 FOR 2025 REGARDING THE 2025-2026 CARES UP SUSTAINABILITY GRANT AND AMENDING THE 2025 SHERIFF’S OFFICE BUDGET

By Public Safety Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution Nos. 132 and 133 for 2025, this Honorable Body authorized agreements with the New York State Office of Mental Health’s Suicide Prevention Center and the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene regarding the 2025-2026 Cares Up Sustainability Grant, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff has requested authorization to amend the aforementioned agreements to accept $6,000 in additional funding for the term commencing August 8, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff has also requested to authorization to amend the 2025 Sheriff’s Office Budget to incorporate the new funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution Nos. 132 and 133 for 2025 are hereby amended to accept $6,000 in additional funding for the term commencing August 8, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2025 Sheriff’s Office Budget is amended as follows:
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendments as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
