RESOLUTION NO. 247

AMENDING THE 2023 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS BUDGET:  CONSOLIDATED LOCAL STREET AND HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CHIPS)

                     By Public Works Committee:

                     WHEREAS, The County has been informed by the New York State Department of Transportation that the County has a rollover amount remaining in the State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2022-2023 allotment of $3,440,990.53, and the County has received an additional yearly apportionment for SFY 2023-2024 in the amount of $4,817,643.11, and

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested a budget amendment to fully incorporate $4,728,325.64 of these funds into the Department Budget, now, therefore, be it

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the 2023 Department of Public Works Budget is amended as follows:

                     Increase Revenue Account D5112 0 3591 Highway Capital Project by                      $4,728,326

Increase Appropriation Account D5112.4 by $4,728,326 by increasing Line Item D5112 4 4075 Bridge and Road Repair by $4,728,326

and, be it further

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
