DEDICATING THE INTERFAITH SANCTUARY IN HONOR OF FORMER STATE SENATOR NEIL D. BRESLIN

WHEREAS, Since 1976, this Legislative Body has dedicated various County-owned buildings in honor of exceptional people who have made a lasting impact in Albany County, and
WHEREAS, Elected to the New York State Senate in 1996, former State Senator Neil D. Breslin represented Albany County residents in state government for nearly three decades, and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in the Pine Hills neighborhood in the City of Albany, Neil D. Breslin represented all or parts of Albany County for the entirety of his career in the New York State Senate, and
WHEREAS, During his tenure as a state senator, Neil D. Breslin always fiercely advocated for the residents of his district, which included all or parts of Albany, Montgomery, and Schenectady counties, and
WHEREAS, The Albany County Legislature wishes to recognize the contributions of former State Senator Neil D. Breslin by dedicating the interfaith sanctuary, located at 959 Madison Avenue, in the City of Albany in his honor, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the interfaith sanctuary located at 959 Madison Avenue, in the City of Albany shall henceforth be known as the “Neil Breslin Interfaith Sanctuary”, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
