AUTHORIZING A UTILITY EASEMENT AGREEMENT WITH NIAGARA MOHAWK POWER CORPORATION REGARDING THE RELOCATION AND UPGRADE OF EXISTING TRANSFORMERS ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2 AIRPORT TERMINAL ROAD

By Multimodal Transit and Pedestrian Access Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The Albany County Airport Authority has requested authorization to enter into a utility easement agreement with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation regarding the relocation and upgrade of existing transformers on property located at 2 Airport Terminal Road in the Town of Colonie for a fee of $1 to remain in effect in perpetuity with the property, and

 

WHEREAS, The Authority has indicated that this easement is necessary to support current power needs as well as ongoing terminal expansion and upgrades to the Albany International Airport, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a utility easement agreement with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, Syracuse, NY 13202 regarding the relocation and upgrade of existing transformers on property located at 2 Airport Terminal Road in the Town of Colonie for a fee of $1 to remain in effect in perpetuity with the property, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said utility easement agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
