AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH OCHIN, INC. REGARDING THE ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS/ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORDS AND PRACTICE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Health has requested authorization to enter into the first of five one-year contract agreements with OCHIN, Inc. regarding an Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records (EMR/EHR) and Practice Management System in an amount not to exceed $30,000 per year for a total amount of $150,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2027, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that OCHIN, Inc. is the current provider for the Department of Health’s EMR/EHR system, which has a practice management component for medical billing, the capacity to connect to the Health Information Xchange of New York, and is compatible with New York State Medicaid public health requirements, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into the first of five one-year contract agreements with OCHIN, Inc., Portland, OR 97201 regarding an Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records (EMR/EHR) and Practice Management System in an amount not to exceed $30,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2023, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
