AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH SECOND CHANCE OPPORTUNITIES REGARDING RECOVERY SUPPORT PROGRAM FUNDING AND AMENDING THE 2025 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

 

                     Introduced: 9/8/25

By McLaughlin, Pedo, Miller, and Lockart:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Director of the Department of Mental Health has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Second Chance Opportunities regarding non-competitive recovery support program funding in the amount of $50,000 for a one-year term, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Director has also requested authorization to amend the 2025 Albany County Budget to appropriate the funding from the Opioid Settlement Fund, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Second Chance Opportunities, Albany, NY 12206 regarding non-competitive recovery support program funding in the amount of $50,000 for a one-year term, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the 2025 Albany County Budget is amended as follows:

 

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
