AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 286 FOR 2022, AS AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 273 FOR 2023, REGARDING THE EXPANDED IN-HOME SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2024 DEPARTMENT FOR AGING BUDGET

By Elder Care Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 286 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Office for the Aging regarding the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program in the amount of $824,665 for the term commencing April 1, 2022 and ending March 31, 2023, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 273 for 2023, this Honorable Body authorized an amendment to the agreement with the New York State Office for the Aging in the amount of $6,032 for a new total amount not to exceed $830,697, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Aging has requested to further amend the aforementioned agreement to include an additional $150,917 due to an increase in grant funding, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested an amendment to the 2024 Department for Aging Budget in order to incorporate the additional funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 286 for 2022 is hereby further amended in the amount of $150,917 to reflect a new total amount of $981,614, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2024 Department for Aging Budget is amended as follows:
Increase Revenue Account A6772 0 3781 Expanded In-Home Service Grant by $150,917
Increase Appropriation Account A6772.4 by $150,917 by increasing Line Item A6772 4 4046 Fees for Services by $150,917
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
