AMENDING THE 2024 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET: LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTED DIVERSION FUNDING

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 596 for 2023, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Assembly regarding Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion Program funding in the amount of $300,000, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Management and Budget has requested to amend the 2024 Albany County Budget in order to re-appropriate the aforementioned funding, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that this amendment will allow Albany Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion Program partners to utilize the funding, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the 2024 Albany County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
