AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE COUNCIL ON THE ARTS REGARDING A CAPITAL PROJECTS GRANT

                     By Public Works Committee and Ms. Lekakis:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Executive Director of the Shaker Heritage Society has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Council on the Arts regarding a Capital Projects Grant in the amount of $80,000 for a term commencing July 1, 2022 and ending July 31, 2025, and

 

WHEREAS, The Executive Director has indicated that the grant funding will be matched by donations and pledges from foundations and private donors, then applied towards the installation of a new variable flow refrigerant HVAC system in the 1848 Meeting House of the Shaker Heritage Society, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Council on the Arts regarding a Capital Projects Grant in the amount of $80,000 for a term commencing July 1, 2022 and ending July 31, 2025, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
