AUTHORIZING AN INTERDEPARTMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND THE DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH REGARDING ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to enter into an interdepartmental agreement with the Department of Mental Health regarding adult protective services in the amount of $50,000 for a term commencing February 15, 2024 and ending September 15, 2024, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the agreement will support an enhanced cleaning services pilot program for individuals jointly served by the Adult Protective Services and Albany County Mental Health Assertive Community Treatment teams, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute an interdepartmental agreement between the Department of Social Services and the Department of Mental Health regarding adult protective services in the amount of $50,000 for a term commencing February 15, 2024 and ending September 15, 2024, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
