AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 509 AND 533 FOR 2020 REGARDING AMOUNTS LEVIED AND TAXES TO BE APPROPRIATED FOR THE ROTTERDAM FIRE DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF GUILDERLAND

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 509 for 2020, this Honorable Body assessed and levied upon the taxable property within the boundaries of the various fire, water, ambulance, lighting and sewer districts in the Town of Guilderland the amounts necessary for the purposes of such districts as specified in the annual budget of the Town of Guilderland, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 533 for 2020, this Honorable Body set the rates for special district taxes in the towns of the County of Albany having special districts for the purpose of raising sums necessary for the payment of expenses of said special districts, fixed on each of assessed valuation of the property in said districts, and
WHEREAS, Subsequent to these actions, the Town of Guilderland has indicated that the information provided to the County contained errors in the amounts reported for the Rotterdam Fire District in the Town of Guilderland, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 509 for 2020 is hereby amended to reflect the correct levy amount for the Rotterdam Fire District of $64,072.67 rather than $416,651.00, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That Resolution No. 533 for 2020 is hereby amended to reflect the correct rate for the Rotterdam Fire District of 1.077414 rather than 7.006193, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the tax warrant for 2020 for the Town of Guilderland be amended to reflect the aforementioned corrections, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That corrected tax bills for taxpayers in this fire district are authorized to be sent by the Town of Guilderland, and, be it further
