AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ALBANY REGARDING THE USE OF DATA CENTER SPACE AND FIBER CONNECTIVITY LOCATED AT 112 STATE STREET

 

                     Introduced: 8/12/24

By Public Works Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Chief Information Officer has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the City of Albany regarding the use of County data center space and fiber connectivity located at 112 State Street for a term commencing January 1, 2016 and ending May 31, 2025, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Chief Information Officer has indicated that the City of Albany will provide their own equipment to include firewall protection, switch, and data storage, as well as support and maintenance of the equipment at no cost to the County, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the City of Albany regarding the use of County data center space and fiber connectivity located at 112 State Street, Albany, NY 12207 for a term commencing January 1, 2016 and ending May 31, 2025, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
