AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE REGARDING THE COMPREHENSIVE SECURE AND RESPONSIBLE DRUG DISPOSAL PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Albany County Executive has requested authorization to submit a grant application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance regarding the Comprehensive Secure and Responsible Drug Disposal Program, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that this funding would be used to purchase drug deactivation supplies to provide at no cost to patients with opioid medications, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance regarding the Comprehensive Secure and Responsible Drug Disposal Program, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said application as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
