AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH DIGESARE MECHANICAL, INC. REGARDING PLUMBING WORK FOR THE CAPITAL DISTRICT JUVENILE SECURE DETENTION FACILITY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with DiGesare Mechanical, Inc. regarding plumbing work for the Capital District Juvenile Secure Detention Facility Construction Project in an amount not to exceed $1,728,100 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The Department, through the Purchasing Department, issued a Request for Bids for a Plumbing Work Contractor regarding the aforementioned project, and two bids were received, and
WHEREAS, After a review of the bids by the Department and Gilbane Building Company, the Department has recommended awarding the contract to DiGesare Mechanical, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with DiGesare Mechanical, Inc. regarding plumbing work for the Capital District Juvenile Secure Detention Facility Construction Project in an amount not to exceed $1,728,100 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2025, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
