AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC. AND BETTER POWER, INC. REGARDING PURCHASES FOR THE E-911 FACILITY

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into agreements with Motorola Solutions, Inc. and Better Power, Inc. for the purchase of equipment at the new E-911 Dispatch Center in a total amount not to exceed $792,247 using grant funding from the 2020 Statewide Interoperable Communications Grant, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Sheriff indicated that Motorola Solutions, Inc. and Better Power, Inc. are both under state contract through the cooperative purchasing network, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677 for the annual maintenance and licensing fees for radio equipment at the new E-911 Dispatch Center in an amount not to exceed $476,610, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Better Power, Inc., Rochester, NY 14624 for the purchase of two generators for the new E-911 Dispatch Center in an amount not to exceed $315,637, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
