AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 37 FOR 2024 REGARDING THE DISTRIBUTION #14 GRANT AND INDIGENT LEGAL SERVICES

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 37 for 2024, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Office of Indigent Legal Services regarding the Distribution #14 grant in the amount of $1,573,455 over a three-year term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Public Defender, on behalf of the Public Defender’s Office, has requested authorization to amend the aforementioned agreement with the New York State Office of Indigent Legal Services regarding the Distribution #14 grant in the amount of $786,729 for a total grant amount of $2,360,184, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 37 for 2024 is hereby amended to reflect a total amount of $2,360,184, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
