AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH KONICA MINOLTA REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF BALLOT PRINTERS FOR PRIMARY, GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTIONS

WHEREAS, The Commissioners of the Board of Elections have requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Konica Minolta, LLC, regarding the purchase and support of ballot printers for Primary, General and Special Elections as part of the Board’s in-house printing operation, in the amount of $153,673 for a term commencing June 1, 2023 and ending May 31, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioners have indicated that Konica Minolta, LLC was selected as a National Cooperative Contract under Sourcewell, and therefore the department was not required to complete a Request for Proposals, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Konica Minolta, LLC, Warwick, RI 02866 regarding the purchase and support of Primary, General and Special Election ballot printers in the amount of $153,673 for a term commencing June 1, 2023 and ending May 31, 2025, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
