AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH GORMAN BROTHERS, INC. FOR COLD-IN-PLACE ASPHALT RECYCLING ON CR410 (THAYERS CORNERS ROAD) AND CR414 (HORSESHOE BEND ROAD) IN THE TOWN OF WESTERLO

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Gorman Brothers, Inc. regarding cold-in-place recycling on CR410 (Thayers Corners Road) and CR414 (Horseshoe Bend Road) in the Town of Westerlo in an amount not to exceed $424,430 for a term commencing June 1, 2024 and ending October 31, 2024, and

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that road deterioration on these two roads requires remediation beyond milling and repaving, and

 

WHEREAS, The Department, pursuant to New York State contract, has recommended Gorman Brothers, Inc. for the cold-in-place asphalt recycling, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Gorman Brothers, Inc., Albany, NY 12202 regarding cold-in-place recycling on CR410 (Thayers Corners Road) and CR414 (Horseshoe Bend Road) in the Town of Westerlo in an amount not to exceed $424,430 for a term commencing June 1, 2024 and ending October 31, 2024, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
