AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT BLODGETT HILL ROAD (TAX MAP NO. 142.-1-25.11) IN THE TOWN OF COEYMANS

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, CR 103, also known as Blodgett Hill Road in the Town of Coeymans, is owned by the County of Albany, and
WHEREAS, Gerald Weidman Jr. and Sherrie Weidman, residing on Blodgett Hill Road at (Tax Map No. 142.-1-25.11), have expressed an interest in acquiring a section of CR103 totaling +0.25 acres that is abutting their property, and have offered to pay $250 for the property, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive's Office has indicated that this portion of CR 103 has stopped being used and maintained and that the abutting property owners wish to acquire the portion as part of their parcel, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 173 for 2026, the aforementioned +0.25 acre portion of CR 103 was deemed abandoned pursuant to Highway Law ? 118-A, and "no longer necessary for public use" pursuant to County Law ? 215 and ? 65-3 of the Albany County Code and is therefore eligible to be sold, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any documents necessary to convey the aforementioned +0.25 acre portion of real property located at CR 103, Blodgett Hill Road that is abutting property located at (Tax Map No. 142.-1-25.11) in the Town of Coeymans, and as indicated on the surveyor's description annexed hereto, to Gerald Weidman Jr. and Sherrie Weidman for the amount of $250, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
