RESOLUTION NO. 814

 

AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 519 FOR 2022 REGARDING GENERAL CONTRACTING SERVICES FOR THE CAPITAL DISTRICT JUVENILE DETENTION FACILITY

 

                     Introduced: 12/2/24

By Public Works Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 519 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with Bunkoff General Contractors, Inc. regarding general contracting services at the Capital District Juvenile Detention Facility in an amount not to exceed $10,492,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2025, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has requested an amendment to the agreement with Bunkoff General Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $319,961 to reflect a new total contract amount of $10,811,961 to address issues uncovered during the construction, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that this amendment is also necessary to address program and security issues identified by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, the New York State Commission on Corrections, the Albany County Sheriff’s Department, and the Dormitory Authority of New York State, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 519 for 2022 is hereby amended in the amount of $319,961 to reflect a new total contract amount of $10,811,961, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendment as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
