AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CALLANAN INDUSTRIES, INC. REGARDING THE HAULING AND PLACING OF ASPHALT CONCRETE FOR VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS

By Public Works Committee:

 

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Callanan Industries, Inc. regarding the hauling and placing of asphalt concrete for various County roads in an amount not to exceed $4,625,670 for a term commencing June 1, 2025 and ending November 30, 2025, and

 

WHEREAS, The Department, through the County Purchasing Agent, received six bids and Callanan Industries, Inc. was deemed the lowest qualified bidder, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Callanan Industries, Inc., Albany, NY 12211 regarding the hauling and placing of asphalt concrete for various County roads in an amount not to exceed $4,625,670 for the term commencing June 1, 2025 and ending November 30, 2025, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
