AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 158 FOR 2021 AND 491 AND 540 FOR 2022 REGARDING THE ALBANY LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTED DIVERSION PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE 2023 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

By Audit and Finance:
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 158 for 2021, this Honorable Body authorized agreements with the Public Defender Association/LEAD National Support Bureau, Seattle, Washington 98104; Catholic Charities Care Coordination Services, Albany, New York 12204; the Center for Law and Justice, Albany, New York 12204; and the Albany Police Department in connection with awarding grant funds in the amount of $785,850 for the term commencing October 1, 2020 and ending September 30, 2023, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 491 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs regarding the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Program in an amount of $1,260,000 for a term commencing October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2025, and
WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 540 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized agreements with Catholic Charities Care Coordination Services and State University of New York at Albany regarding case management and evaluation services in support of the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Program in a total amount of $740,000 for a term commencing October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2025, and
WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that Trinity Alliance has been selected to replace the Public Defender Association/LEAD National Support Bureau to act as the new host agency for LEAD project management, and to be the employer of record for project managers throughout Albany County, and
