RESOLUTION NO. 164

AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE UNIFIED COURT SYSTEM REGARDING CUSTODIAL, BUILDING PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE, AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR THE ALBANY COUNTY COURT HOUSE, JUDICIAL CENTER, AND FAMILY COURT FACILITIES

By Public Works Committee:

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of General Services has requested authorization to enter into a five-year agreement with the New York State Unified Court System (NYSUCS) regarding reimbursement for custodial services, building preventive maintenance, and repair services for the Albany County Court House, Judicial Center, and Family Court facilities for a term commencing April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2028, with a provision for five separate one-year contracts for each year of the agreement, and

WHEREAS, Further legislative action will be required for each successive annual reimbursement, and

WHEREAS, NYSUCS will reimburse the County for said services in accordance with the terms included in the first year of the aforementioned agreement in the amount of $819,763 commencing April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2024, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a five-year agreement with NYSUCS for the provision of custodial services, building maintenance, and minor repairs at the aforementioned locations for a term commencing April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2028, with five separate one-year contracts provided for, and, be it further

RESOLVED, That the County Executive is further authorized to enter into the first year of the aforementioned five-year agreement with NYSUCS in the amount of $819,763 for reimbursement of custodial services, building maintenance, and minor repairs for a term commencing April 1, 2023 and ending March 31, 2024, and, be it further
