AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 38 FOR 2023 REGARDING TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR ELIGIBLE SENIORS

By A. Joyce:

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 361 for 2021, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with Access Transit, Inc. regarding transportation services for eligible seniors in Albany County in an amount not to exceed $630,000 for the term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, and

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 38 for 2023, this Honorable Body authorized an amendment to the agreement with Access Transit, Inc. to include an additional $150,255 for a system software update necessary to meet the Department for Aging's program and reporting requirements, and

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Aging has indicated that the additional $150,255 is not necessary to effectuate the software purchase, and

WHEREAS, The Commissioner has also requested an amendment to the agreement with Access Transit, Inc. in order to expand the scope of services to include the purchase of said software at no cost to the County, now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 38 for 2023 is hereby amended as follows:

The Second Resolved Clause shall read as follows: "WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Aging has requested an amendment to the agreement with Access Transit, Inc. in order to expand the scope of services to include the purchase of said software at no cost to the County, now, therefore, be it"; and

The First Resolved Clause shall read as follows: "RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 361 for 2021 is hereby amended to expand the agreement's scope of services to include the purchase of updated system software necessary to meet the Department for Aging's program and reporting requirements, at no cost to the County, be it further"
