AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF ADDICTION SERVICES AND SUPPORTS REGARDING THE ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS IMPLEMENTATION GRANT

WHEREAS, The Director of the Department of Mental Health has requested authorization to submit a grant application to the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) regarding the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Implementation Grant in an amount up to $120,000, and
WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that the grant funding will be used to enhance the current automated EMR system, improving data collection and reporting to the OASAS Client Data System, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application to the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports regarding the Electronic Medical Records Implementation Grant in an amount up to $120,000, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said grant application as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
