AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH GREENWAY CONSERVANCY FOR THE HUDSON RIVER VALLEY INC. REGARDING THE HUDSON RIVER VALLEY GREENWAY HERITAGE GRANT AND AMENDING THE 2026 ALBANY COUNTY BUDGET

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, Greenway Conservancy of the Hudson River Valley Inc. has made grant funding available in the amount of $3,012 for Albany County Revolutionary War 250th Marketing and Collateral Development, and
WHEREAS, Discover Albany, Albany County’s official tourism and promotional organization, will also work with the County regarding the efforts surrounding the commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Management and Budget has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Greenway Conservancy of the Hudson River Valley Inc. to accept funding in the amount of $3,012 regarding promotional efforts surrounding the commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary, and
WHEREAS, A budget amendment is necessary to accept these funds, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Greenway Conservancy of the Hudson River Valley Inc., Albany, NY 12210 regarding promotional efforts surrounding the commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary in an amount of $3,012 for a term commencing immediately and ending March 10, 2028, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the 2026 Albany County Budget is hereby amended as follows:
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate City and County Officials.
