AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL DIOXIDE, INC. REGARDING THE SUPPLY OF HYDROGEN SULFIDE ODOR CONTROL OXIDANT TO THE WATER PURIFICATION DISTRICT

                     WHEREAS, The Executive Director of the Water Purification District has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with International Dioxide, Inc. regarding the supply of hydrogen sulfide odor control oxidant to the Water Purification District for a term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024, with two consecutive one-year renewal options, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Executive Director, through the County Purchasing Agent, issued a request for bids regarding Hydrogen Sulfide Odor Control Oxidant for sewage sludge dewatering at the Water Purification District, and one bid was received, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Executive Director and the Purchasing Agent have reviewed said bid and recommended awarding the contract to International Dioxide, Inc. as the sole responsible and responsive bidder, now, therefore, be it

                     

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with International Dioxide, Inc., North Kingstown, RI 02852, regarding the supply of hydrogen sulfide odor control oxidant to the Water Purification District at $0.889 per pound not to exceed $200,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024, with two consecutive one-year renewal options, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
