RESOLUTION NO. 474

 

AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 241 COUNTY ROUTE 357 (TAX MAP NO. 173.-1-14) IN THE TOWN OF RENSSELAERVILLE

                     By Audit and Finance Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired, through in rem foreclosure, title to a parcel of real property located at 241 County Route 357 (Tax Map No. 173.-1-14) in the Town of Rensselaerville, and

 

                     WHEREAS, Erin Hoyt, 468 County Route 22, Oak Hill, NY 12460 has expressed an interest in acquiring the property as a family residence, and has placed on deposit with the County $50,000, reflecting the assessed value of the parcel, and

 

WHEREAS, The Albany County Disposition Plan, as adopted by Resolution No. 29 for 2019, provides for the conveyance of real property to individuals or entities for economic development purposes, including that the amount paid shall be either its appraised value or outstanding delinquent tax liability, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any documents necessary to convey 241 County Route 357 (Tax Map No. 173.-1-14) in the Town of Rensselaerville, to Erin Hoyt, 468 County Route 22, Oak Hill, NY 12460 for $50,000, with any additional interest, penalties and closing costs to be adjusted for at the time of closing, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That Erin Hoyt shall be responsible for all closing costs, as well as a pro-rated share of any and all current real property taxes not in the collection process of the Albany County Division of Finance at the date of the closing, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
