AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 32 MCELWAIN AVENUE (TAX MAP NO. 10.66-1-22) IN THE CITY OF COHOES

By Audit and Finance Committee:
WHEREAS, The County of Albany has acquired through in rem foreclosure title to a parcel of real property located at 32 McElwain Avenue (Tax Map No. 10.66-1-22) in the City of Cohoes, and
WHEREAS, Raymond Wachunas, an abutting property owner, has expressed an interest in acquiring this parcel for $5,000, and
WHEREAS, Provisions of the County’s Real Property Disposition Plan approved by Resolution No. 29 for 2019 allows for parcels of real property to be conveyed to abutting property owners, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to execute on behalf of the County any documents necessary to convey property located at 32 McElwain Avenue (Tax Map No. 10.66-1-22) in the City of Cohoes to Raymond Wachunas, Cohoes, NY 12047 for $5,000, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That Raymond Wachunas shall be responsible for any and all closing costs, and a pro-rated share of any and all current taxes, water and sewer and other charges owed on the property as of the closing date, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said conveyance as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
