AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS REGARDING THE EXPANDED IN-HOME SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY PROGRAM

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Social Services has requested authorization to enter into agreements with eleven New York State (NYS) approved service providers regarding the Expanded In-Home Services for the Elderly Program (EISEP) in an amount not to exceed $1,370,000 for the term commencing April 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner has indicated that the providers will administer EISEP services for eligible seniors to allow them to remain in their homes, thus precluding or delaying more costly nursing home care, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into agreements with the following eleven NYS approved providers regarding EISEP services in an amount not to exceed $1,370,000 for the term commencing April 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026:

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
