RESOLUTION NO. 14

 

AUTHORIZING A CUSTOMER PROJECT COMMITMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK POWER AUTHORITY REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOLAR PANEL SYSTEMS AT COUNTY FACILITIES

                     By Public Works Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to enter into an  Customer Project Commitment agreement with the New York Power Authority (NYPA) regarding  the development of photovoltaic systems with the option for battery storage at seven separate locations throughout the County, for a term commencing February 15, 2020 and ending February 14, 2023, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Customer Project Commitment Agreement outlines the advisory services that will be provided by NYPA including project planning, development and issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP), and evaluation of the RFP, and

 

WHEREAS, The County will receive credits on its utility bills for the in-front of meter sites based on the value of distributed energy resources, now, therefore be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a Customer Project Commitment Agreement with NYPA, Albany, NY 12207 regarding the development of photovoltaic systems with the option for battery storage at seven separate locations throughout the County, for a term commencing February 15, 2020 and ending February 14, 2023, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement regarding the aforementioned Authorization to Proceed as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
