AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH BERKSHIRE FARM CENTER & SERVICES FOR YOUTH FOCUS ON THE FUTURE PROGRAM REGARDING THE PROVISION OF PREVENTION SERVICES

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Albany County Department for Children Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth regarding the provision of Juvenile Justice Prevention Services in an amount not to exceed $104,653 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, with two one-year options to renew, and
WHEREAS, The Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth Focus on the Future Program provides educational and workforce readiness training for youth who are at risk of dropping out of school or in need of services as they prepare to transition to adulthood with the purpose of preventing child abuse, youth entering foster care, or to expedite permanency for children and youth in foster care, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth, Albany, NY 12205 regarding the Focus on the Future Program and Prevention Services in an amount not to exceed $104,653 for a term commencing January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, with two one-year options to renew, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
