AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES REGARDING REIMBURSEMENT FOR RAISE THE AGE IMPLEMENTATION

WHEREAS, The Director of the Probation Department has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services regarding reimbursement for the Raise the Age implementation in the amount of $3,003,775 for the term commencing April 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026, and
WHEREAS, The Director has indicated that the funding will be used to provide probation supervision, case management, evidence-based programming, and training for all Raise the Age youth in Albany County, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services regarding reimbursement for the Raise the Age implementation in the amount of $3,003,775 for the term commencing April 1, 2025 and ending March 31, 2026, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
