AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH LABELLA ASSOCIATES, D.P.C. REGARDING A FACILITY CONDITIONS ASSESSMENT AND MASTER PLAN FOR THE ALBANY COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with LaBella Associates, D.P.C. regarding a Facility Conditions Assessment and Master Plan for the Albany County Correctional Facility in an amount not to exceed $296,134 for a term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2028, and

 

WHEREAS, The Sheriff has indicated that LaBella Associates D.P.C. will develop a complete Facility Conditions Assessment of the housing units, jail housing areas, and outdoor recreation areas to create a Master Plan for coordinating all the proposed renovations at the Correctional Facility, and will also provide architectural and engineering services for the proposed projects, and

 

WHEREAS, The Sheriff’s Office, through the County Purchasing Agent, issued a request for proposals regarding the Facility Conditions Assessment and Master Plan and has recommended awarding the contract to LaBella Associates D.P.C. as the proposer with the most relevant experience, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with LaBella Associates, D.P.C., Rochester, NY 14614 regarding a Facility Conditions Assessment and Master Plan for the Albany County Correctional Facility in an amount not to exceed $296,134 for a term commencing April 1, 2026 and ending March 31, 2028, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
