 RESOLUTION NO. 34

 

AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, CONSERVATION AND PLANNING TO COORDINATE SEQR LEAD AGENCY STATUS FOR THE SHAKER PLACE GARAGE PROJECT

By Conservation, Sustainability, and Green Initiatives Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Albany County Department of Economic Development, Conservation and Planning (Planning Department) has submitted a State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) recommendation regarding the proposed Shaker Place Garage at 1 Hill House Road in the Town of Colonie, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Planning Department has reviewed the project and recommended that the Legislature accept its finding that this project constitutes at Type 1 action pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and

 

WHEREAS, The project is subject to SEQR review and, where there is more than one involved agency, lead agency must be coordinated and established prior to any determination of significance, and

 

WHEREAS, The Planning Department seeks authorization to coordinate lead agency with all involved agencies and, after that coordination, seeks to have Albany County assume lead agency status, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the Planning Department’s finding that the proposed Shaker Place Garage project constitutes at Type 1 action pursuant to SEQRA is hereby accepted, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That this Honorable Body hereby authorizes the Planning Department to coordinate lead agency status regarding the Shaker Place Garage project, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
