AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDING AND AN AGREEMENT REGARDING THE CHILD RIGHT: SAFE HARBOR INITIATIVE

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department for Children, Youth and Families has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to accept grant funding regarding the Child Right: Safe Harbor Initiative in the amount of $40,000 for a term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024, and

 

WHEREAS, The Child Right: Safe Harbor Initiative focuses on establishing a framework to increase the identification of potential trafficking victims, creating capacity for services in local infrastructures, and supporting direct services to trafficking victims, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to accept grant funding in the amount of $40,000 regarding the Child Right: Safe Harbor Initiative for a term commencing January 1, 2024 and ending December 31, 2024, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
