AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY AT ALBANY CENTER FOR TECHNOLOGY IN GOVERNMENT REGARDING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR DATA INVENTORY

WHEREAS, The Chief Information Officer (CIO) has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the University at Albany Center for Technology in Government regarding professional services for data inventory in an amount not to exceed $298,000 for the term commencing March 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2027, and
WHEREAS, The CIO has indicated that Phase 1 of a multi-phase initiative will identify what data the County collects, stores, and shares; where it lives, how it is used, and who owns it while highlighting overlaps, gaps, and opportunities for consolidation, and
WHEREAS, The CIO has also indicated that this agreement does not commit the County to later phases of the initiative, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the University at Albany Center for Technology in Government regarding professional services for data inventory in an amount not to exceed $298,000 for the term commencing March 1, 2026 and ending December 31, 2027, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
