AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS WITH PARTICIPATING MUNICIPALITIES REGARDING ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT SERVICES

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into agreements with the Towns of Berne, Bethlehem, Coeymans, New Scotland, Rensselaerville, and Westerlo regarding their participation in the County’s Emergency Medical Services Program in order to provide Advanced Life Support services in the southern and western areas of Albany County, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff has evaluated the proposed services to be rendered for a period beginning January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025 and has determined that the amounts due from each town shall be as follows:
Town of Bethlehem $1,656,726.18
Town of Berne $137,546.70
Town of Coeymans $365,162.24
Town of New Scotland $425,710.09
Town of Rensselaerville $90,722.26
Town of Westerlo $165,448.15
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into agreements with the above-listed towns for the term commencing January 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2025 in the amounts listed above, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreements as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate Municipal and County Officials.
