AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 301 FOR 2020 REGARDING THE SECOND REGIONAL IMMIGRATION ASSISTANCE CENTER GRANT

By Law Committee:

 

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 301 for 2020, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the New York State Office of Indigent Legal Services regarding the Second Regional Immigration Assistance Center Grant in the amount of $1,654,260 over a three-year term commencing January 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2022, and

 

WHEREAS, The Director of the Albany County Regional Immigration Assistance Center has requested an amendment to the agreement with the New York State Office of Indigent Legal Services to reflect an ending date of December 31, 2023 rather than December 31, 2022, and

 

WHEREAS, The Director has also requested to amend the agreement with the New York State Office of Indigent Legal Services in the amount of $35,000 to reflect a new total amount of $1,689,260, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that Resolution No. 301 for 2020 is hereby amended to reflect an ending date of December 31, 2023, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That Resolution No. 301 for 2020 is also amended in the amount of $35,000 to reflect a new total amount of $1,689,260, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said amendments as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
