AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO AND AN AGREEMENT WITH THE RESEARCH FOUNDATION FOR MENTAL HYGIENE FOR GRANT FUNDING AND AMENDING THE 2023 SHERIFF’S OFFICE BUDGET

                     By Audit and Finance Committee:

 

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 216 for 2022, this Honorable Body authorized an agreement with the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. regarding grant funding in the amount of $40,000 for the term commencing April 4, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, and

 

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has indicated that an additional $5,000 is now available, and has requested authorization to accept this additional amount, and

 

WHEREAS, A budget amendment in necessary to incorporate the full $45,000 into the 2023 Albany County Budget, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene regarding a revised grant total in the amount of $45,000, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the 2023 Sheriff’s Office Budget is hereby amended as follows:

 

Increase Revenue Account A3110 0 2770 Other Unclassified Revenues by $45,000

                     

Increase Appropriation Account A3110.4 by $45,000 by increasing Line Item A3110 4 4046 Fees for Services by $45,000

 

and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said grant application and agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
