AUTHORIZING A MASTER AGREEMENT WITH NATIONAL GRID REGARDING ENERGY CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE WATER PURIFICATION DISTRICT

WHEREAS, The Executive Director of the Water Purification District has requested authorization to enter into a Master Agreement (MA) with National Grid for energy conservation and management services regarding the engineering and construction services associated with the replacement of an existing 400 horsepower boiler at the District’s North Plant in an amount not to exceed $225,000 for a term commencing June 15, 2020 and ending December 15, 2020, and
WHEREAS, The Executive Director has indicated the proposed MA will expedite the process and allow the District to secure the needed engineering and construction services to include design, demolition work, environmental abatement of asbestos and lead, and equipment installation, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into a MA with National Grid for energy conservation and management services regarding the engineering and construction services associated with the replacement of an existing 400 horsepower boiler at the District’s North Plant in an amount not to exceed $225,000 for a term commencing June 15, 2020 and ending December 15, 2020, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
