AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF PARKS, RECREATION AND HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND AMENDING THE 2025 DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION BUDGET

By Conservation, Sustainability, and Green Initiatives Committee, Perlee and Smith:

 

WHEREAS, Department of Parks and Recreation has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation on behalf of the Frontier Sno-Riders Snowmobile Club and Ridgerunners Snowmobile Club of Middleburgh, Inc. regarding grant funding for the purpose of maintaining designated snowmobile trails in Albany County in the amount of $16,871 for a term commencing April 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025, and

 

WHEREAS, The Department has requested a budget amendment in order to appropriate the aforementioned funding, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation on behalf of the Frontier Sno-Riders Snowmobile Club and Ridgerunners Snowmobile Club of Middleburgh, Inc. regarding grant funding for the purpose of maintaining designated snowmobile trails in Albany County in the amount of $16,871 for a term commencing April 1, 2024 and ending August 31, 2025, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the 2025 Department of Parks and Recreation Budget is amended as follows:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
