AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES AND THE NEW YORK STATE DIVISION OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY SERVICES REGARDING CYBER INFORMATION SHARING AND COLLABORATION

 

                     Introduced: 5/12/25

By Public Works Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Chief Information Officer has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Technology Services and the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding cyber information sharing and collaboration at no cost to the County for a term commencing July 1, 2025 and ending July 1, 2028, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The Chief Information Officer has indicated that this solution offers fully managed and hosted security information and event management through a concierge team dedicated to Albany County, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with the New York State Office of Technology Services and the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services regarding cyber information sharing and collaboration for a term commencing July 1, 2025 and ending July 1, 2028, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
