AMENDING THE 2021 HEALTH DEPARTMENT BUDGET: PUBLIC HEALTH PREPAREDNESS COORDINATOR

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Albany County Department of Health has requested an amendment to the Albany County Health Department Budget in order to create a Public Health Preparedness Coordinator position, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner indicated that this position would include overseeing logistics planning and operations, maintains program inventory and supplies, and completes annual and quarterly reports related to public health emergency preparedness grants and performance management, and
WHEREAS, The Commissioner further indicated that this positon would be partially funded from an emergency preparedness grant and state aid reimbursement, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the 2021 Department of Health Budget is hereby amended as follows:
Decrease Appropriation Account A4010.4 by $30,984 by decreasing Line Item 4010 4 4046 Fees for Services by $30,984
Increase Appropriation Account A4010.1 by $28,184 by increasing Line Item A4010 1 2159 Public Health Preparedness Coordinator by $28,184 with an annual salary of $56,368
Increase Appropriation Account A4010.2 by $2,800 by increasing the following line items:
Increase Line Item A4010 2 2001 Office Equipment by $300
Increase Line Item A4010 2 2050 Computer Equipment by $2,500
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
