AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH JOHN W. DANFORTH COMPANY REGARDING MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION FOR THE SHERIFF’S EMERGENCY 911 COMMUNICATIONS CENTER

WHEREAS, The Albany County Sheriff has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with John W. Danforth Company regarding mechanical construction for the Sheriff’s Emergency 911 Communications Center located at 58 Verda Avenue in the Hamlet of Clarksville in the Town of New Scotland in an amount not to exceed $1,083,500 for a term commencing September 15, 2021 and ending March 14, 2023, and
WHEREAS, The Sheriff’s Office, through the Purchasing Department, issued a Request for Bids for the new Sheriff’s Emergency 911 Communications Center project, and six bids were received, and
WHEREAS, After a review of the bids, the Department has recommended awarding the contract to John W. Danforth Company as the lowest responsible bidder, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with John W. Danforth Company, Clifton Park, NY 12065 regarding mechanical construction for the Sheriff’s Emergency 911 Communications Center located at 58 Verda Avenue in the Hamlet of Clarksville in the Town of New Scotland in an amount not to exceed $1,083,500 for a term commencing September 15, 2021 and ending March 14, 2023, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further
RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
