AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH CARVER CONSTRUCTION, INC. REGARDING PARKING LOT PAVING AND SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT FOR THE CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION AND THE PARKS AND RECREATION BUILDINGS

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Department of Public Works has requested authorization to enter into an agreement with Carver Construction, Inc. for parking lot and sidewalk replacement for the Cornell Cooperative Extension and Parks and Recreation buildings in an amount not to exceed $332,145 for a term commencing August 1, 2024 and ending December 1, 2024, and

WHEREAS, The Department, through the Purchasing Agent, issued a request for bids for paving and sidewalk replacement and six bids were received, and

 

WHEREAS, After a review of said bids, the Department has recommended Carver Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to enter into an agreement with Carver Construction, Inc., Coeymans, NY 12045 regarding parking lot paving and sidewalk replacement for the Cornell Cooperative Extension and Parks and Recreation buildings in an amount not to exceed $332,145 for a term commencing August 1, 2024 and ending December 1, 2024, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
