AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE HOUSING TRUST FUND CORPORATION REGARDING THE LEADING IN LEAD PREVENTION PILOT PROGRAM

WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 571 for 2023, this Honorable Body authorized the Albany County Department of Health to submit a grant application to the Housing Trust Fund Corporation (HTFC), an agency of New York State Homes and Community Renewal, regarding the Leading in Lead Prevention Pilot Program in an amount not to exceed $1,136,270, and

 

WHEREAS, The Interim Commissioner has requested authorization to enter into a contract with the HTFC regarding the remediation of lead hazards from rental units of concern within five zip codes of the City of Albany in an amount not to exceed $1,136,270 with a maximum of $40,000 allocated per rental unit for a two-year term, now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application to the Housing Trust Fund Corporation regarding the Leading in Lead Prevention Pilot Program in an amount not to exceed $1,136,270 with a maximum of $40,000 allocated per rental unit for a two-year term, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
