AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF THE GREATER CAPITAL REGION REGARDING THE INSTALLATION OF BLUESTONE WALKWAYS AT THE SHAKER HERITAGE SOCIETY

                     By Public Works Committee:

 

                     WHEREAS, The Executive Director of the Shaker Heritage Society has requested authorization to submit a grant application for the Community Foundation of the Greater Capital Region Impact Grant in the amount of $15,000, and

 

WHEREAS, The Executive Director has indicated that the grant funding will be applied to the costs of installing ADA compliant, historically appropriate and accessible bluestone walkways between the Meeting House and Ann Lee Pond to replace non-historic degraded asphalt walkways, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to submit a grant application for the Community Foundation of the Greater Capital Region Impact Grant in the amount of $15,000, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said grant application as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
