AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW YORK POWER AUTHORITY REGARDING ROUTINE AND NON-ROUTINE MAINTENANCE FOR COUNTY STREETLIGHTS

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has requested authorization to renew a Customer Project Commitment agreement with the New York Power Authority for maintenance of 130 County-owned streetlights throughout Albany County in amounts not to exceed $3,150 annually for routine maintenance and $9,051 annually for non-routine maintenance for a term commencing May 1, 2025 and ending May 1, 2026, and

 

                     WHEREAS, The County Executive has indicated that routine maintenance consists of replacing and repairing defective components of the street lighting system to keep them fully operational, while non-routine maintenance includes repairs that go above and beyond routine repairs and requires the approval of the County before work is completed, now, therefore, be it

 

                     RESOLVED, By the Albany County Legislature that the County Executive is authorized to renew a Customer Project Commitment agreement with the New York State Power Authority, White Plains, NY 10601 for the maintenance of 130 County-owned streetlights throughout Albany County in amounts not to exceed $3,150 annually for routine maintenance and $9,051 annually for non-routine maintenance for a term commencing May 1, 2025 and ending May 1, 2026, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, That the County Attorney is authorized to approve said agreement as to form and content, and, be it further

 

                     RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the County Legislature is directed to forward certified copies of this resolution to the appropriate County Officials.
